We were very shocked and saddened yesterday to hear the news from Melut, that our dear friend and colleague, Rev. Philipa Eisa, Principal of Gideon Theological College in Melut, passed away suddenly. He was teaching a morning class and collapsed.
Thankfully we were already scheduled to fly back to Melut on Thursday so we will arrive tomorrow and then on Friday travel to Mabaan county where Philip's family has taken his body for burial. We are grateful that soon we will be back together with our GTC family and able to grieve together with them.
Please pray for Philip's wife Lydia, and their 5 children. And please pray for all who knew him as we each process this grief.

Our prayers are with Pastor Phillip's family, your family, and the GTC family. We had the privileged of getting to know Pastor Phillip while we were in Melut, he was a wonderful man.
Sorry to hear about your friend, Phillip. Will indeed be praying for ALL of you guys. May the Lord comfort you all during this time. Love, AB
Thanks for the great photos of Philip at work in his study, the classroom and the garden. Wonderful memories of his great smile. As you so rightly stated - a great teacher and a great friend to be missed.
A humble and passionate man has entered the next stage of life with God. Philip will be sadly missed by those who affectionately knew him. I count it a privilege to have worked with him for several years both in Khartoum and briefly in Melut. Our prayers are with his family and the wider GTC community. May the Lord comfort you all in your grief.
