Christmas is HERE in Yabus!

Yesterday we made cut out sugar cookies and shared them all over the compound. Today we went searching for the perfect tree - well not quite perfect - but at least it's green and doesn't have thorns! We had fun listening to Christmas music while we hung a few ornaments that I brought from the States.

Greetings Faders. I took this evening to peruse your blog and become aquainted with your lovely family. This evening Hanna and I got together to get better aquainted before we head over to Yabus in January with the SIM team. We are so looking forward to see what God has in store for this time. As we prepare our own homes for Christmas it is fun to see how you do the same in Yabus. My own "little boy" arrived home from college this afternoon and we too will be decorating the tree and baking Christmas cookies. Bless your family as you prepare to celebrate the birth of our Lord. See you soon (47 days or so and counting!)

The Yabus style Christmas looks like great fun. The the kids pix are too sweet.

Merry Christmas Faders Family!

My name is Amanda Gray..I met ELI about 7 years ago..at Moody Bible Institute...when Sudan was just a dream. I am friends with Kristie Kleinow-Burns.

I've just finished my missions degree at Lincoln Christian College, and love reading up about your life in Yabus.

As a fellow missionary (not on the field yet) you inspire me,just as you did 7 years ago. (after all-I did go into missions!) Thank you so much for raising your family in the center of God's will.

I hope to someday visit you in Yabus.

Merry Christmas from Illinois,
Amanda

Why does sickness like to hang around so long???

Only a few days after returning from our trip to Kenya, Judah started spiking high fevers. We took him to our clinic here in town for blood ...
